About Us

The Host's Pantry was born out of love for good food and hosting our friends and family, and we wanted to create a service that would allow anyone, whether they’re an experienced home cook or not, to feel like they can host a wonderful meal at home. We’re big believers that if the food doesn’t turn out quite how you expected that actually, it doesn’t matter, as long as the setting is warm, glasses are filled and the people around the table are happy, the meal can still be a success (although, Scott would challenge me on this, you should see him if we’ve overcooked the meat!), some of our best memories have been created around our dining table.

We’ve always found that one of the biggest challenges to hosting isn’t cooking the meal but sourcing the ingredients. The quality and freshness of produce is paramount to us, and to the success of any dish. We have designed The Host’s Pantry so that you don’t have to try and find time to travel to multiple places to source the best ingredients. We are so proud to be working with some incredible suppliers, which in turn allows us to provide you with extraordinary produce that’s delivered straight to your door, without compromising on quality. (Know that if we are prepared to travel a 50-mile round trip to get some award-winning beef, then that’s the beef we want to provide for you.)

Hosting and cooking together can, as I’m sure you can imagine, have some challenges but more than anything it brings us together. Working as a team, learning new skills, finding the humour in the ‘failures’, is all part of the magic of hosting. But it’s not actually about us, it’s about you. We want you to be inspired to immerse yourself in the preparing and cooking of the ingredients, whether you choose to do it alone or have a helping hand, it’s all part of the magic. But most of all, we want you to feel confident hosting people in your home, knowing you are able to cook a delicious meal, one that people will be talking about for years to come.

We can’t wait to see the dishes you create, and hope (more than anything) that you create some wonderful memories.

Our Mission

Bringing people together

Whether it’s cooking together or eating together it’s well known that ‘food brings people together’ and that ethos is at the heart of The Host’s Pantry. Some of our favourite memories have been created at home, with friends and family over a homecooked meal. Whether the meal goes to plan or not, it doesn’t matter because everyone is together. The Host’s Pantry was created so that we could share our tips and tricks to making hosting at home a success, learning from our failures, and making it an enjoyable experience for you, the host.

We believe in understanding the ‘provenance’ of all of our ingredients and we have built strong relationships with, farmers, butchers, fishmongers, producers and suppliers of all sizes, many of whom supply to top restaurants up and down the country. This means that we are confident in the knowledge that the ingredients you receive are always of the highest quality.

We believe that part of the magic of creating a special meal is in the preparation. Putting time and effort into your dish never goes unnoticed by your guests and we want to provide you with the confidence to fully immerse yourself into the cooking experience. Whether you choose to cook alone or not, there’s nothing quite like seeing people enjoying the food you have lovingly prepared.

I just want the food to be a menu that I would want to eat, simple as that,
